Johny Pach has made a career out of getting famous people to talk, smile and occasionally look as though they are enjoying a red carpet rather than surviving one. That is no small achievement when the carpet is heaving, the flashbulbs are behaving like angry insects, and half of Hollywood appears to be late for something.
The British celebrity TV host has interviewed names including Angelina Jolie, Rachel McAdams, Corey Feldman, Chris Rock and Daniel Radcliffe. His broadcasting credits include BBC, MTV and ITV, while his career has taken him from London to Los Angeles, from film premieres to live global events, and from entertainment presenting into entrepreneurship.
Now, with more than 15 years’ experience behind him, Pach is building beyond the microphone. After spending a successful year in Hollywood producing and hosting his own luxury entertainment programme, Showbuzz, he has expanded into marketing and lead generation for property, trading and investment companies through NXT Generation.
In other words, he is not merely standing beside the velvet rope. He is trying to own a bit of the building.
The Three Words Behind The Presenter

Asked to describe himself in three words, Pach does not reach for anything shy or self-effacing.
“Entrepreneurial / Exuberant / Galvanised”
It is a neat summary. There is the business instinct, the performer’s voltage and the slightly industrial sense of forward motion. Pach has the air of someone who does not so much enter a room as arrive in it.
Yet there is also a quieter strand to his life. Away from the studios, stages and social feeds, he is involved with environmental work.
“I am an ambassador for “A Plastic Ocean Foundation” whose mission is to change people’s attitudes towards plastic usage and to create a cleaner and greener ocean.”
That detail matters because it rounds out the profile. The best presenters tend to have a little more going on behind the smile. Otherwise, all you have is teeth and tailoring.
Lockdown, Discipline And The Art Of Staying Upright
The lockdown period gave many people an unwanted opportunity to study the ceiling and develop a worryingly intimate relationship with the fridge. Pach took a more disciplined route, building his days around meditation, exercise, reading and goal-setting.
“I do daily meditation and exercise and have found it key to stick to a good routine. It’s really important on a usual day, but especially during these lockdown periods it can be easy to lose yourself without much structure. You have to have discipline.
I’m constantly reviewing and mapping out my goals. Ensuring I’m working towards achieving my goals and setting new ones along the way. I use vision boards to help me do this.
I also like to read. I don’t do as much as I’d like to, so that’s definitely an area I could improve on but I try to get an hour’s worth of reading in each day.”
There is a useful lesson in there for anyone trying to keep performance sharp, whether in business, broadcasting, sport or ordinary life. Routine is not glamorous. It does not sparkle under studio lights. But it is usually the thing holding the entire circus tent up.
Life Before Lockdown
Before lockdown, Pach’s days were shaped by the familiar London grind: travel, meetings, office hours and the peculiar British ritual of losing large chunks of one’s life to transport.
“Wow, it’s crazy to look back on this now. Life before lockdown seems like such a long time ago! My typical day was pretty similar to my days now, but without the time wasted travelling around London. Back then I was only managing to sit down at my desk by 9/9:30 am. Now, I’m saving huge amounts of time and am finding I’m being way more productive.
It’s interesting to think about how my quality of life has changed. I’ve saved so much time and money literally through not travelling into my office each day that I’ve now realised how much of an unnecessary expense that was to me both in productivity and financially.
I’m sure there are many other people out in the world having these same experiences.”
This is where Johny Pach becomes more relatable than the polished red carpet image might suggest. The revelation is not especially cinematic: fewer commutes, more work done, less money wasted. Still, in modern life, that is practically a spiritual awakening with Wi-Fi.
The Red Carpet Is Not For The Vague
People watching interviews from home may think red carpet presenting looks easy. It does not. It is live, loud, competitive and frequently chaotic. There are handlers, photographers, publicists, time limits and the constant danger of asking something forgettable while someone more prepared elbows into the space beside you.
Pach understands the mechanics.
“Red carpets can often be frantic. There’s a lot of competition, each wanting exclusive interviews with the celebrities. Not to mention people always being in a rush… so you need to be quick, well prepared and interesting.”
That final word is doing plenty of work. Interesting is the difference between an answer and a moment. It is also why the best interviewers know when to push, when to charm and when to get out of the way.
Affirmations, Mindset And The Battle Upstairs
Pach is a firm believer in daily affirmations, which may sound soft until you remember that most high-performance careers are lost between the ears long before they are lost in public.
“Daily Affirmations are really important to keep you on track with your daily lives. Affirmations are really simple, short and powerful expressions.
When you say, think, even hear them, they become thoughts that create reality. Research shows that there are between 45,000 and 51,000 different thoughts that cross our minds in one day.
That’s 150 to 300 thoughts per minute and unfortunately for most people, 80 percent of these thoughts are negative. It is possible to reverse this negative aura by using affirmations as part of your daily routine. ”
The numbers are his framing, but the practical point is clear enough: Pach treats mindset as training, not decoration. Like putting, public speaking or staying civil in airport security, it improves with repetition.
The Hollywood Christmas Parade Moment
For all the business growth and future planning, Pach still lights up when talking about presenting. His career has included film premieres in Los Angeles and London, major live events, Christmas light celebrations, music festivals and global fashion shows.
But one memory sits at the top of the pile.
“Over the years I have hosted many film premieres in LA and London, I have hosted some of the biggest live events globally, Christmas light celebrations in different cities, all in front of thousands of people. I’ve even hosted some music festivals and global fashion shows, but I have to say hosting the Hollywood Christmas Parade on Hollywood Blvd was a dream come true. I am a big film buff anyway and seeing all of my boyhood favourite films showcased at the event was fantastic.
I have interviewed some amazing celebrities on the red carpet from James Hong, Oscar De La Hoya, David Hasselhoff, Erik Estrada, Montel Williams and many more. Just to be there, enjoying the ambience, and presenting at such a prestigious event that’s been running for nearly 100 years was a real dream come true and I am looking forward to attending the next one.”
It is easy to see why that one sticks. Hollywood Boulevard, Christmas lights, film nostalgia and David Hasselhoff somewhere in the vicinity. There are worse ways to earn a living.
The Business Push Behind NXT Generation
The shift from presenter to entrepreneur did not arrive by accident. For Pach, the catalyst was personal.
“My fiancé, Hannah. I had never met anyone in my life that even came close to her. She not only gave me the confidence and encouragement, but she put in the work and hours with me to help me get everything up and running. She made me realise that over the years I was spending all of my time and knowledge on building other people’s businesses and told me I’d be an idiot if I didn’t start doing this for myself.
I’ve never looked back since and have now expanded my business NXT Generation overseas, by opening up NXT Generation LA and have set-up 2 other businesses from my recent success.”
That is the sort of advice which sounds romantic until it becomes a business plan. Pach’s move into lead generation and company building suggests a presenter who has learned how attention works — then decided to turn that knowledge into something scalable.
Why Entrepreneurship Appeals
Pach’s favourite part of entrepreneurship is not freedom in the vague, motivational-poster sense. It is opportunity — the chance to create, test, fail, adjust and move again.
“Opportunity. That’s the word I hear when I think of being an entrepreneur. Now there are many other things associated with being an entrepreneur as I’m sure you know but if I have to name my favourites, it’s being able to be as creative as I like without having to answer to anybody else. If I fail, I fail, at least it was on my watch. You get up dust yourself off and then it’s what you do next that really matters.”
There is a bluntness to that which works. No misty-eyed nonsense. No fantasy about success arriving in a linen suit. Just ownership, risk and the occasional bruise.
Confidence, Criticism And Learning Not To Take The Bumps Personally
For all the outward polish, Pach is candid about emotional development and the lessons he wishes he had learned earlier.
“Focus on your strengths and do everything you can to consistently make yourself better than you were yesterday. It’s about having the mindset and understanding that only you can create the life you really want for yourself.
Sometimes in today’s world, it’s a lot easier to become insecure, especially with social media and all of the pressure there is around but it’s where you choose to aim your focus. I listen to a lot of positive and motivational podcasts and have learned a lot from them. ”
He also admits that, earlier in his career, he sometimes took things too personally.
“Not everything is personal. If I was more emotionally developed at the start of my career I think things would have been a lot easier for me. I’m naturally a very emotional person. I tend to care a lot about others and sometimes could take constructive criticism or things not panning out the way I planned quite personally. When in actual fact, sometimes things are just the way they are without it really having anything to do with you as a person.
I’ve learned to separate my emotions from the business whilst at the same time maintaining a healthy level of compassion.”
That may be the most useful career advice in the entire conversation. Talent gets you noticed. Emotional regulation lets you survive being noticed.
The Traits Pach Thinks Entrepreneurs Need
When asked about the key traits an entrepreneur needs, Pach keeps the list direct.
“Confidence, motivation, discipline, good listening skills, assertiveness, and optimism. Also, know your area of expertise and know it well. ”
There is no great mystery there, and perhaps that is the point. Most professional success is not a secret. It is a handful of obvious things done consistently while everyone else is busy refreshing their notifications.
Awards, Recognition And Keeping The Engine Running
Pach has received recognition across his entertainment career, but he speaks about awards less as an end point and more as encouragement.
“I have had a very exciting career filled with endless opportunities and I have met so many influential people along the way. It’s nice to receive praise for all of your hard work within the entertainment industry, it’s motivating and only inspires you to continue to do more. ”
That line says plenty about his operating system. Applause is appreciated, but it is fuel rather than furniture.
Fitness, Mindfulness And Career Performance
For a lifestyle audience, this is where Johny Pach becomes especially interesting. His approach to fitness is not vanity dressed up as wellness. He links exercise and mindfulness directly to professional performance.
“Yes absolutely it’s important to exercise every single day, from lifting weights to cardio, regular exercise increases the serotonin levels in the brain, serotonin contributes to a better sleep and increases your happiness levels.
It’s also important to practice mindfulness meditation, meditation increases the release of dopamine, a chemical associated with firing up the feelings of pleasure and keeps you highly motivated.
These are two key wellness areas which have contributed to a very successful career. ”
That is the modern performance equation in a tracksuit: move the body, settle the mind, make better decisions. Repeat until further notice.
Johny Pach’s Isolation Workout
Pach also shared the workout routine that helped keep him in shape during isolation. It is not complicated, which is part of the charm. It is also not gentle, which is part of the warning label.
“I work out every day and here is my little isolation workout secret that you can do in your living room or garden.. Groin routine and couple of workout ideas for legs and upper body circuits. Set a clock and see who can get them done fastest. Legs might be a bit sore after the first one though. Make sure the groin feels good before giving it a go. This will keep you super fit and in shape during isolation.
There are easier ways to spend an afternoon, such as negotiating with a wasp. But as home workouts go, it has the virtues of clarity, pace and very little equipment dependency.
Curry, Fish And Chips, And The Sanity Clause
No serious fitness routine should pretend that life is made entirely of steamed broccoli and self-denial. Pach is refreshingly human on that front.
“I have 2 cheat days in the week, Fridays are Curry nights and Wednesdays are “fish and chip” nights. it’s important to self indulge once in a while, it just means extra running the next morning. ”
That is balance, British edition: discipline, followed by curry, followed by penance in trainers.
Travel, Football And Life Away From Work
Pach’s favourite overseas destination is the Bahamas, with Baha Mar and Exuma island standing out in his memory.
“Myself and the fiance love the Bahamas. A stay at the wonderful Baha Mar and a boat trip to Exuma island to swim with the pigs. Probably one of the most incredible experiences of my life, on par with skydiving over the grand canyon. ”
Away from work, his spare time is a mixture of family, friends, football, meditation, reading, podcasting and travel planning.
“Hanging out with the love of my life and booking many holidays. Catching up with family and friends, I play a lot of football, 3 times with Clapham Common FC. Meditation, reading and interviewing amazing guests on my podcast. ”
There is something revealing about that combination. He likes movement, conversation and momentum. Stillness appears only when it has a purpose.
The Five-Year Vision
Pach does not think small. Asked where he sees himself in five years, he lays out a future involving TV and film production, renewable energy, real estate, family, Hollywood Hills living, motivational speaking, charity work and a chat show.
“Probably be the CEO of a few new companies within TV & Film Production, renewable energy and real estate.
I will be married with my partner, 2 kids, 2 dogs and living in a mansion in the Hollywood Hills.
I will be the host of my own motivational speaking seminars and present in front of thousands of people all over the globe.
I would have launched my own charity to help spread awareness for global warming.
I would have been the host of my very own chat show “The Johny Pach Show” on CBS.
Lived a life of love, happiness and prosperity. ”
It is ambitious, certainly. But then ambition is rather the point. Nobody ends up on Hollywood Boulevard by accidentally wandering in the right direction.
Dinner Guests And Future Plans
Pach’s dream dinner table mixes comedy, motivation, business and spiritual influence.
“Present – Russel Brand, Jim Carrey, Tai Lopez, Grant Cardone and Tony Robbins.
Past – Robin Williams and Wayne Dyer ”
His plans for the future are equally expansive, taking in Los Angeles, NXT Generation LLC, family and travel.
“Relocating to Los Angeles, opening up NXT Generation LLC in Hollywood, to have a baby next year and to travel as much as I can after isolation. ”
He also hosts his own motivational podcast, The Johny Pach Show, available on iTunes, Spotify and Stitcher. Readers can find him online through johnypach.com, his social channels and wearenxtgeneration.com.
The Verdict on Johnny Pach
The most interesting thing about Johny Pach is not simply that he has interviewed famous people. Plenty of presenters can point a microphone at a celebrity and hope for the best. His appeal lies in the blend: showman, businessman, fitness devotee, optimist, planner and relentless self-improver.
There is polish, yes. There is ambition by the suitcase. But there is also discipline underneath it, and that is the bit worth noticing. The red carpet may have given him the platform. The long game is clearly being played elsewhere.
